Mt Kaukau Walk Views of Wellington

It' was an excellent fine clear day to go out for a big walk on Easter Friday the 14th of March. The weather was stunning in Wellington so I made the most of it. The walk to Mt Kaukau was longer then I expected taking 2 1/2 hours each way from Karori, I left at 12noon and made it back home after 5pm. Here are a few photos I took of Wellington and the views along the way to Mt Kaukau. At 445m high its a well known Wellington Landmark with the transmission tower on the top.

The view of Wellingtons CBD from the ridgeline. Its an excellent View of Oriental Bay Mt Vic and the Rimutaka Ranges in the background.

Mt Kaukau Seen in the far distance.
